Darin
Darin is a husband, father, and entrepreneur who values hard work, integrity, and service. When he's not mowing, he enjoys reading, running, traveling, and spending time with family. Passionate about theology, writing, orphans and missions, he is dedicated to serving others through his faith.
Truett
Truett is a social and adventurous teen who thrives on friendships, competition, and new experiences. He loves playing Ultimate Frisbee, staying active in the gym, traveling to new places, and unwinding with gaming.
Our Story
Darin has loved mowing yards since he was 12 and has never stopped.
In 2023, he combined his passion for mowing with his commitment to spending meaningful one-on-one time with his kids. His son, Truett, was looking to earn extra money, so they launched what would become Green Shepherd Mowing. That summer, they began mowing in the Sterchi Hills neighborhood, and since then, they’ve spent over 150 hours together working hard, serving others, and growing their bond.
More than just mowing, they see their work as a way to serve the Lord and their community, offering meaningful discounts to those who need it most. Widows and single moms receive a 50% discount, while military veterans, firefighters, and police officers receive 20% off as a small way to give back to those who serve and sacrifice. They are also committed to serving only within a one-mile radius of their neighborhood, allowing them to focus more on you, their customer, while preserving valuable family time at home.
